STUDENT LIFE

LIFE -Support-

We provide a variety of support so that international students can
enjoy campus life without any worries

EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT

教育サポート

Japanese Language Education

We offer Japanese language courses to students from foreign countries. Experienced Japanese language teachers give careful instruction to these students with the goal of their obtaining N1 in the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) to facilitate their finding employment in Japan. We will respond to questions and give advice regarding learning the Japanese language, such as how to study Japanese and do assignments in Japanese language classes.

SUPPORT FOR CAMPUS LIFE

生活サポート

Japanese Student Supporter System

We have a student supporter system. This deepens cross-cultural exchanges and gives foreign students a partner with whom they can consult and converse about their studies and university life in general. This offers great support to international students to help enhance their campus life. Japanese students cooperate with foreign students in social gatherings at the International Student Support Center, field trips, and the Watensai (school festival).

Foreign Student Consultation Services

The International Student Support Center responds to inquiries from international students to help them enjoy their life and studies at the university. They also cooperate with faculty members to offer support in resolving any issues these students may face.

Tuition Fee Exemption Program (Scholarships)

  • Foreign students are exempted 20% from tuition fees compared to general students.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT INTERVIEWS

留学生インタビュー

From China

Han Meiken
From China
Sophomore, Department of Informatics,
Faculty of Informatics

I love Japanese games and I want to create interesting games on my own, so I am hoping to go on to become a game developer. I wanted to learn the most advanced technology in the field of gaming in Japan. That’s why I decided to study here.
The Faculty of Informatics’ curriculum is a fusion of arts and sciences. I can study a wide range of fields such as economics and management. The new university is fully equipped and its environment is very conducive to study.
I still find it difficult to understand a lecture just by listening to it once, but my teachers and friends help me to understand what I had difficulty with before. The homeroom teacher system allows us to be close to our teacher; it’s very encouraging because this helps us when we have trouble not only with our schoolwork but also if we are having difficulty in our daily life.

From Nepal

Tuladhar Rhitik
Junior, Major in Information Science*, Department of Science and Engineering, Faculty of Science and Engineering

When I was in elementary school, I lived in Japan for a year and a half because of my father’s work. Living in Japan was comfortable; so the feeling that I want to develop myself in Japan began to grow ever stronger. For that reason, I decided to study here.
Yamato University is rich in practical learning opportunities. Students can acquire skills such as programming drones and creating websites through trial and error. It’s a perfect university for me because I like to take on a variety of challenges myself. In the future, I want to set up my own company and become a bridge between Nepal and Japan.
