Yamato Plan: Students Get Teaching Experience Starting in Their First Year
We give students firsthand teaching experience at schools through an agreement with the municipality of Suita, Osaka. Visiting elementary and junior high schools, they better understand what teaching is through practice and feedback from school teachers. They also get prep and feedback from the university’s teaching staff.
Guidance by Seasoned Educators
Many of our faculty members are former Nishiyamato Gakuen teachers, whose expert teaching and passion for education have put that high school among Japan’s top-ranks in terms of university enrollment. We also have many teachers with a wealth of firsthand knowledge thanks to their years of experience at public schools. Our students receive all-round support grounded in real educational experience.
Teaching Practice in the U.S.
Students can participate in practicums at the Nishiyamato Academy of California. Staying with a local family and taking part in real-life education in English make for a true international experience.
