About Yamato University

Fly High with Your Ambition.

Nishiyamato Gakuen High School was established about 30 years ago as the first educational institution operated by Nishiyamato Gakuen. The school started with nothing but the unrivaled passion of the faculty, who used all their strength and effort to help the students make their dreams come true. Of course, the remarkable progress that Nishiyamato Gakuen achieved needs no explanation. Passion is the keyword in the running of every school operated by Nishiyamato Gakuen. We at Nishiyamato Gakuen strongly believe that education needs passion in any age, no matter how society changes.
Yamato University , when it opens its doors in April 2014, will begin to establish its culture based on the passion of its students and faculty members. We will implement educational/research programs that directly answer the aspirations of future educators and medical professionals who "love people" and "want to help other people," and will guide their growth into talented professionals on whose shoulders our future rests. We will provide an ideal environment for the cultivation of solid expertise and the global viewpoint needed to ensure quick response to changing times. We will foster depth of thought and warmth of heart, which are qualities essential for any educator or medical professional.

The motto of Yamato University is "Fly High with Your Ambition." This maxim applies not only to the future students who will learn with us but also to the management and faculty members who will lead the school. We will strive to create new values heretofore not offered by any other university. We at Yamato University are committed to being ready for a great start with students and faculty members who have an unwavering desire to soar.

The logo is designed using "Y" (as in "Yamato") as a base, depicting the image of a new-generation Japanese university spreading its wings around the world and flying high in the global era.

Among the colors used in the logo, the red represents "passion," the black represents "power" and the gold represents "one of a kind (uniqueness)."
